The Duke University are underway as they make a winning start to their NCAA campaign. Hosting Dartmouth Big Green on their home turf, the Blue Devils secured a 92-54 victory. While many were eying for an impressive Cooper Flagg show, the No. 30 of the Duke Blue Devils stole the thunder.

Kyle Filipowski owned the court with his tremendous exhibition of skills. The freshman had a lasting influence and inspired Duke to an amazing win in the season opener.

Nicknamed as the Flip, Kyle Jarred Filipowski turned quite a few heads last evening with his high-flying antics. The 7 ft giant figure made his presence felt as he asserted his dominance on the court. The power forward gave the Dukes a blockbuster opening night at a jam packed Cameron Indoor Stadium. He finished the game scoring 25 points. In addition to this, Filipowski landed 10 out of 12 from the field. Furthermore, he had a major hand to play in the team’s success defensively as well. Apparently, he managed to secure 7 rebounds.

Kyle Filipowski opened the account for the Blue Devils by scoring a contested shot in the paint. Soon after, his crucial block helped Jared McCain score a three-pointer as a result of a fast-break. Further, he extended Dukes’ lead to 15 points after displaying a stunning three-point-play minutes before half-time. Filipowski took his game to the next level in the second half by scoring 8 out of Duke’s 10 points. As a result, he now has the fourth-best field-goal percentage by a Duke player to his name. This is applicable on 10 or more attempts during the whole game.

Kyle Filipowski has been a topic of discussion for many analysts and experts. He has been projected as a key player for the Blue Devils in their pursuit to be national champions once again.

Born in Middletown, New York, the 20-year-old Filipowski has created quite a buzz before the start of the season. The consensus five-star recruit has been one of the top prospects for the Blue Devils. Moreover, Filipowski is a preseason Associated Press All-American. As a freshman, he had an impressive average of 15.1 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. The ACC Rookie of the Year was projected to be a top selection in the NBA drafts. However, he opted to stay and finish his sophomore season with the Dukes.

The Blue Devils are having their hands full as their top performers step up for them on the opening night. Kyle Filipowski led the charge to stretch their 16-0 unbeaten season opener record. Fans will be hoping for them to carry on this performance in their upcoming games.
