Rookies are simply ruling the roost with their record-breaking feats this season. Among them JuJu Watkins is simply going ballistic with her game play. USC’s wonder girl recently recorded her 11th 30-point game of the season and broke legend Cheryl Miller’s record in style. But despite this dandy display of skills, the road ahead is full of challenges for JuJu and Co.

Watkins added the latest career feat to her resume when the Trojans thrashed the Buffaloes with a winning 87-81 on the scoreboard. Despite having a career-high 10 turnovers, JuJu locked in the remarkable win for the Trojans, with bigger battles to be fought ahead.

She was followed by McKenzie Forbes who added 24 points to the collective score, along with 2 rebounds and 7 assists. This season, Forbes has been averaging 13.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.

However, the Trojans aren’t the only team eyeing the top in the conference. The #2 Buffaloes in the Pac-2 are already maintaining a record of 20 wins and 6 losses.

Trojans’ way to ace the Pac-12

Leading the Pac-12 this season, the Oregon State Beavers are currently ranking #1 in the Pac-12 with a winning percentage of 0.846, while maintaining a strong performance with the record of 22 win and 4 losses.  However, not even a week has passed since the Beavers were beaten down by the Trojans with a winning score of 58-50.

For them to bag the conference win, the Trojans need to maintain their winning momentum and continue thier winning ways. Moreover, they need to shoot in an effective and continuous manner. The Trojans have a free throw program-record of 24-of-25 from the free throw line.

JuJu Watkins, McKenzie Forbes, and Kayla Padilla are the leading scorers on the Trojans’ roster, whose contributions have played a crucial role in the team’s success. The team has already proved their position by beating top teams like Colorado and Oregon State, hence elevating their chances of winning the Pac-12 conference title.
