Do you remember how “badly” Kyle Filipowski got hurt in the knee in a matchup against Wake Forest? So much so that he believed that the entire incident was intentional, even though his side lost fair and square. However, he returned to the floor next time and brought three successful games to the Blue Devils. However, looks like Duke can’t help but get into controversial situations. The Grayson Allen parallel to the world has done yet another mischievous act during the game.
Talking about the many troubling scenarios revolving around this sophomore center, the hosts of the CBS Sports’ Eye on College Basketball podcast, Gary Parrish and Matt Norlander, give their own views. Matt said, “Kyle Filipowski, apparently, unknowingly, tripped up Harrison Ingram and it was almost a moment.”
Responding to the topic, Parrish said, “He hasn’t helped his reputation over the past couple of weeks.” Taking out his frustration, the CBS Sports columnist said, “I was ready to fight for him when it was like you might have just taken a first round pick and broken his leg in a court storming.”

Gary’s disbelief was clear as he discussed how Kyle returned for the next game. He did not have a satisfactory answer to the court-storming questions. He added, “I guess I can’t prove it wasn’t an accident but it didn’t look like an accident to me.”
Continuing to bring out his agitation at Kyle Filipowski, Parrish said, “I don’t know if I can believe anything this guy says. He says he can’t walk then he is windmill dunking three days later.” Circling back to the topic at hand, he adds, “He says he didn’t mean to trip anybody, but sure as hell looks like it. I don’t know if I trust him.”

Scanning Kyle Filipowski’s on-court antics
Former Duke players like JJ Reddick became villains as the basketball followers thrashed them for various reasons, including their school’s name. However, many believe that Kyle does not stand with them. The tripping incident was the second reason he gave to the spectators to think that he may be playing dirty, comparing him to former Duke star Grayson Allen.
Whether it is true or not will depend on his future games. However, for now, the Duke Blue Devils fans are sympathizing with his position while others are blaming him. We will have to wait and watch if he gets his game straight or if he is following the former shooting guard.
