5 Months After ‘Ambitious’ Claim, Angel Reese Celebrates Barack Obama’s Special Day

Angel Reese is undoubtedly one of the best NCAA athletes out there. Ever since clinching LSU’s first national championship title, the NCAA star has been constantly making the headlines. Her ‘You can’t see me’ move with ‘rival’ Caitlyn Clark brought in numerous NIL deals due to her increasing marketability, sending her NIL valuation to a staggering $1.4 million. However, Reese, also known for her unapologetic demeanor has had her fair share of controversies. Perhaps the biggest one may be her ‘ambitious’ claim about her team’s White House visit.

Meanwhile, 5 months following her bold claim, Angel Reese recently celebrated Barack Obama’s special day.

Angel Reese commemorates the Obamas’ special day

Following their historic NCAA championship, the LSU Tigers were invited to the White House for their accomplishment. However, along with the LSU Tigers, the Iowa Hawkeyes also received an invite for the visit. This move did not please Reese and the team who turned down the invitation stating, “I remember she (Jill Biden) made a comment about both teams should be invited because of sportsmanship. I’m like, ‘Are you saying that because of what I did (taunted Caitlin Clark)?’ Stuff like that, it bothers me.”

Reese even went to the extent of tuning down the invitation stating, “You can’t go back on certain things that you say.” Reese added, “They [Iowa] can have that spotlight, we’ll go to the Obamas.”

However, she backtracked that move soon, telling SportsCenter, “At the beginning, we were hurt, it was emotional for us because we know how hard we worked all year for everything and just being able to see that, that hurt us in the moment. But just going back on it, you don’t get that experience ever so being able to go back, and I know my team probably wants to go for sure and my coaches is supportive of that so I’m going to do what’s best for the team and if they would like to go and we decide we’re going to go, then we’re going to go.”

Now, 5 months after the whole Obama-Lady Jill fiasco, Angel Reese celebrated the Obamas’ special day.

Michelle Obama and Barack Obama have been married for 31 years now! Angel Reese shared a post of Michelle Obama celebrating her 31st wedding anniversary with Brack Obama on her Instagram story.

Obama wrote in the caption, “31 years, and a lifetime to go. I love going through life with you by my side, @BarackObama. Happy anniversary, honey!”

Angel Reese had been hinting at a new man in her life through a string of TikTok videos since June. The LSU standout did, however, not formally declare her relationship status until her appearance on the 1 Star Recruits podcast. Reese made the shocking announcement, “Cam’Ron is my boyfriend,” with a smile on her face.

“We both play the same sport, so we understand each other’s schedule,” she revealed. “I think that also helps with it too.” The fact that the two had really known one another for a staggering six years makes the news much more intriguing.

The couple has been proudly showing each other on social media since then, and even got a dog together.
