The instances of heated altercations on a women’s college basketball court have become a major highlight in this year’s conference championships game. After the viral physical brawl in the SEC Finals, another such incident transpired last night at the Norfolk Scope Arena. While the enticing game featuring the Norfolk State Spartans and the Howard Bison managed to amaze the fans, an on-court scrimmage provided a further thrill for those in attendance.

A neck-to-neck contest saw the Spartans leading Howard at 25-21 midway through the third quarter. At this time, a scoring attempt from Howard’s No.5 Marissa Steel got deflected off the rim which she immediately recollected. Moreover, she had a tussle with Norfolk’s junior guard Niya Fileds who eventually got hold of the ball. Following this, she shoved the Spartan’s No.2 which compelled Da’Brya Clark to have a verbal exchange with her.
