Big ballers who create brouhaha in the court often land in controversies and infamous situations. One such incident came to light when the Rio Grande Valley Vipers shooting guard Kevin Porter Jr. was apprehended last year. It would appear that his ex-girlfriend and WNBA star Kysre Gondrezick was left with a broken bone in her neck.

Following this, Kysre was taken into a hospital which resulted in her absence from the basketball court for more than a year. Nonetheless, the 5 ft 9 in athlete has indicated her arrival. The announcement has delighted many including the Bayou Barbie.

Angel Reese elated to see Kysre Gondrezick back

Kysre Gondrezick’s life took a rather dramatic turn in September last year. The former player of the Indiana Fever made a lot of headlines following the arrest of her ex-boyfriend and Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. Apparently, Kevin faced assault and strangulation charges and authorities took him under custody. A year after, Kysre is all set to make her return back to where she belongs. The 2021 No. 4 draft pick recently took to Instagram to share her delight. Kysre shared a video on her Instagram in which she is seen perfecting her skills in the gym. Captioned as “Back at it!”, the video features Gondrezick landing effortless long range-shots.

The 2023 NCAA Most Outstanding Player, Angel Reese wasted no time in revealing her excitement on Kysre Gondrezick’s return. The Bayou Barbie was among the many popular faces eager to see Kysre back on court. Angel posted a comment “yesss bby!” on Gondrezick’s post to further show her elation.

What exactly happened between Kevin Porter Jr and Kysre Gondrezick?

The appalling incident occurred in a Manhattan hotel last September. It appears that Porter Jr. has allegedly fractured Kysre Gondrezick’s neck. Subsequently, she was taken to the NYU Langone Medical Center where doctors confirmed her injury. Soon after, cops detained Kevin which attracted a lot of media attention. Interestingly, Kysre later denied any such allegations and Porter Jr. was set free after he paid $75,000.

Everyone is thrilled is see Kysre Gondrezick return. After a testing phase in her personal life, Kysre will be looking to get back on track professionally. Regardless of free agent status in the WNBA, fans will be hoping she participates and make an impact in the WNBA.
