James Stephen Donaldson, aka MrBeast, has seen his brand reach heights he couldn’t have ever imagined. Born in Wichita, Kansas, the 26-year-old YouTuber grew up in Greenville, North Carolina. And his connection with NC runs deep. Interestingly, it is the same state where Georgia Bulldogs star Silas Demary Jr. grew up. That is not the only thing that connects them, though. In fact, just like MrBeast, Demary Jr. is famous for his charity work. Therefore, it opens the possibility for Mr. Beast to collaborate with Demary Jr. in the future.
EssentiallySports had an exclusive chat with the NCAA star on the Dual Threat Show, where Demary Jr. was asked if he anticipates a future collaboration with the $500 million worth YouTuber.
Silas Demary Jr.: “I just found out he lived or he was born in North Carolina. So like, obviously, it’s come to my mind like, if I get to the point where I can be famous enough to collab (with) MrBeast, that’ll be pretty good because MrBeast does a lot of positive things. And for me to be in the same like, obviously I want to start doing a lot of positive things like I’ve done community outreach and things like that with a Salvation Army. But to be able to do things with MrBeast and make it even more positive, like I think that’ll be a blessing.”

MrBeast, apart from his entrepreneurial work as mentioned, has been involved in a lot of charity. He launched the Beast Philanthropy in September 2020, whose ad revenue directly goes to charity work in different places around the world. He gave 10,000 turkeys to his birthplace Greenville and 20,000 shoes to kids in Africa, among other things. Hopefully, both of them will be able to collaborate soon for a positive purpose. Nonetheless, this won’t be the first time MrBeast collaborates with someone from the basketball community.
MrBeast’s historic deal with the Charlotte Hornets
NBA fans were super excited when Mr. Beast struck a deal with the Charlotte Hornets in October 2023. As per their agreement, Mr. Beast utilized the Hornets jersey to showcase his snack brand Feastables, and also got an opportunity to advertise it on their backdrops during conferences. The partnership was the first such collaboration between a creator-led brand and an NBA franchise.

He launched this brand in January 2022, which has become known for its chocolate bars and cookies. Feastables managed to make $10 million in the months following its launch. He further revamped the bar in January this year, incorporating a new shape and formula into it. He wanted to make it the best-tasting bar in the world and hence made the changes.
As pointed out by Demary Jr., hopefully, he’ll grow in stature and soon do a partnership with MrBeast. Meanwhile, fans can guess the charity work they will be doing if they get together. The collab will surely rake in a lot of money and also help underprivileged communities.
