Brand Angel Reese is beyond basketball. She is a star and an icon. The Bayou Barbie has her own modeling goals. However, her fashion sense is not just limited to events and special occasions. Reese has won hearts on the court with her one-legged uniform so much so that basketball fans have started copying her and donning the same while playing ball.
Angel Reese’s stylist Madison Ledyard recently in an exclusive interview given to EssentiallySports spoke about her relationship with Reese and her upcoming luxury brand Alexandria among other things.

Ledyard was also questioned regarding the famous Reese’s one-legged style and the fashion stylist didn’t shy away from revealing the true inspiration behind it. Ledyard answered the question with honesty and credited Reese for having an exceptional fashion sense.
“Anything Angel does comes from Angel. She starts her own trends, she’s doesn’t care what people think and that’s what makes her shine. Her confidence is through the roof, and will always be through the roof,” Ledyard spilled the beans.
As per Sports Illustrated, Reese has been donning the one-legged look after suffering a Jones fracture during her freshman year. She had a rod insertion in her left leg and the matching left leg sleeve helps her cover the scar. Another reason that Reese divulged behind her famous styling was that two of the players she looked up to wore it, “two players that I really admire, Te’a Cooper and A’ja Wilson, they also wear it, too,” Reese had told nola.com (h/t: Sports Illustrated)
As per Daily Express US, the WNBA star A’ja Wilson on the other hand had started wearing the leg sleeve during her rookie year with the Las Vegas Aces. The look gained so much traction that in 2019 the franchise created a bobblehead of their star Wilson featuring the same one-legged uniform.

Wilson has since then made it such a major part of her identity that even with white jerseys she is seen dressing up in the black leg sleeve. Meanwhile, Ledyard also highlighted Reese’s hard work.
What did Ledyard say?
Ledyard also took the opportunity to give full credit to Reese for “How she became who she is.” She pondered over the fact that Reese was “raised by a single mom in Baltimore,” and the NCAA star has worked extremely hard “to get to where she is.” And the sentiment will certainly echo with those who have followed Reese’s journey.
