In a spectacular show of skills and spirit, the Auburn Tigers’ star Aden Holloway took center stage as he dropped 24 points in a blowout win against the Indiana Hoosiers. This performance by this young star left the fans cheering for him with excitement, as they wanted to know more about Holloway. 

The basketball community is always looking out for fresh talent and the NCAA never fails to deliver. With his impressive skills and scoring ability, Holloway is breaking the internet as he continues to showcase exceptional performance in the 2023-24 NCAA season.

A rising star

Born in 2004, Holloway is a Canadian-American basketball player, who is currently playing for the Auburn Tigers of the SEC. Growing up in North Carolina, Holloway showed early signs of his basketball prowess. He started his High School career at Covenant Day School where he averaged 21.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.

Jumping from high school to high school, he finally landed on Prolific Prep as a senior. At Prolific he led his team to the No. 3 national ranking and 36-1 overall record, while averaging a team-best of 18.5 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game. His talents were very quickly recognized by the basketball community as he was rated as a five-star recruit by ESPN and 247Sports, which led to him receiving scholarships from numerous programs, but he ultimately announced his commitment to Auburn University. 

“Auburn has become a place where fast, quick, creative guards have flourished. Aden is a special winner. He has a high basketball IQ and the unique ability to create for himself and others. People just love playing with him,” Head Coach Bruce Pearl said in a interview with AL.

Notably, Aden Holloway is already creating a buzz in the ongoing college basketball season. 

How has Holloway performed so far?

Holloway stepped into his college career with a mindset of stopping at nothing but a win and that’s exactly what he is doing. In their season opener against the Baylor Bears, Holloway and his team suffered a huge upset as they lost their first game of the season with the final score of 88-82. But the Tiger men didn’t let this get in their heads, as they learned from their mistakes and came back stronger.

They went on a winning streak by securing five back-to-back matches, before losing their second match of the season against the Appalachian State Mountaineers. But being one of the best teams in the league they made a comeback again in their most recent match against the Hoosiers, in which Holloway led his team to a blowout win with a score of 104-76, by dropping 24 points.
