Sarah Strong’s rise to stardom

Sarah Strong had a lot to live up to. Hailing from a family filled with professional basketball experience, there was a lot of pressure on her shoulders. However, she carved her own legacy at Grace Christian School in North Carolina, leading the program to three state championships!

By her senior year, she averaged 21 points, nearly 17 rebounds, and 5 assists per game, cementing her as the unanimous #1 recruit in the her high-school class–and the most hyped prospect since Paige Bueckers. She was the Naismith High School Player of the Year and even got selected for the McDonald’s All-American game! But it didn’t stop there for Strong. She took her dominance to the international stage and won two gold medals at the FIBA 3×3 U18 World Cup!

She came into UConn with eyes on her, and she didn’t disappoint! Throughout the entire season, Strong did what she knew best! The freshman hooped her heart out and left it all on the court.
