We know Dan Hurley is demanding. In fact, his own son who is No. 20 on the UConn has given a nod. But who knew he would make fans in Glendale lose their cool? Even though his squad was double digits away from Purdue, the Huskies head coach did not press the breaks. With fans capturing multiple occasions where he is not okay with the referees’ decisions or with his own players, the internet bursts with reactions.
UConn gripped the Boilermakers, keeping Zach Edey under their control. In fact, for almost ten minutes of the game, he could not make any buckets. Nevertheless, Hurley was quite fixated on his aim and could not leave anything to chance. While complaining about it all is not the solution, seems like Dan Hurley was not afraid.
Before the Huskies won their back-to-back championship trophies, becoming the first program since the Florida Gators, who did the same in 2007, the UConn head coach gave all the spectators a hard time. He made an accusation or had something to say with every turn of the game. As often happens, many were quick to make note of Hurley’s annoyance and antics.

Masterful strategy by Dan Hurley or just pure annoyance?
It seemed like not just a group but the entire State Farm Stadium had too much from Hurley. Many fans even requested others to go to him and shut him up. Clearly, while the head coach has a knack for winning, he also excels at getting on people’s nerves. The new head coach of the Fishers Tigers Varsity BB team — Garrett Winegar — had a message for one coach to another: that he is all about Dan Hurley. However, even he wanted the celebrated coach to stop complaining about every wrong move.

Another X user had a comical take on Hurley’s reactions, referencing Benson from the Regular Show, and posting a cartoon-network gif.

One user tweeted how nature would thrive and heal if Dan Hurley were to keep his lips zipped.

The back-to-back fouls on Clingan and Spencer with the latter missing his layup seem to have terribly irked the coach. Hence, many viewers had to say just one thing to the fans sitting in the stadium.
Any fans at the game that can run on the court and punch Dan Hurley in the face? holy shit that guys annoying #NCAAChampionship @UConnHuskies

It is safe to say that UConn’s impressive 75-60 championship win made fans pay the most. Certainly, they had to keep up with Dan Hurley’s antics for a total of 40 minutes. Moreover, referees seemingly siding with Purdue and not calling fouls on Zach Edey only fueled the fire.
