Continuing their winning streak, the USC humbled the Arizona with an 81-64 winning score. The Trojans maintained a strong defense against the Wildcats keeping them at a field goal shooting percentage of 39.1%. Top scorer JuJu Watkins hooped 32 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists in 38 minutes.
However, JuJu also had a tight game with Jada Williams doing back to back circles around in a run to make a shot. The Wildcats may have lost this game, but they have a strong fighter that won’t back down.

Injuries are a part of a game as players get hurt all the time. However, having that strength to get back up is something very few athletes can do. The similar kind of strength was seen in the Arizona Wildcats’ guard Jada Williams. Notably, during the third quarter of the matchup, Jada Williams suffered a hyperextension in her right knee while making a run for the ball with less than 8 minutes to the buzzer.
She then suddenly felt the impact and then limped towards the bench. However, she stepped on the court again in the fourth quarter, avoiding turnovers went straight ahead to shoot her layup. Further when she went inbound attempting another one, JuJu Watkins brutally blocked her shot while Williams slided past the board.
Besides being a skilled hooper, Jada Williams has benn given the nickname ‘Trailblazer’, because she is one of the first high school athletes to capitalize on her NIL through endorsement deals. This accolade is a significant development as high school athletes were not allowed to profit from their NIL.
Jada has signed deals with brands like Spalding and Dick’s Sporting Goods. What’s more interesting is that Williams is said to be the first high school girl basketball player to have signed with a national brand, while college basketball athletes have signed major endorsement deals under the college NIL rules only.
