During the Chosen1 Invitational game between Sierra Canyon and Coronado, Bryce James checked in at USC’s Galen Center with 3:20 remaining in the first quarter. Interestingly, his brother Bronny had played on the same floor five months earlier, making his basketball comeback after a heart attack. Just before the game started, King James along with the rest of the family arrived and took their courtside seats. Bronny couldn’t join them as he was with his team for USC’s match against Auburn.

It’s worth noting that Sierra Canyon is not only home to James’ family members but also boasts other NBA players. Scottie Pippen, a legendary NBA player, was present to support his youngest son, Justin, who was playing on the baseline. With all the star power and talented genes in Sierra Canyon, there is a lot of attention on whether Bryce James shines because of his father’s influence or if Justin Pippen’s impressive scoring stats make him the better star.

Given that he had recently moved, Bryce James’ choice to go back to his Sierra Canyon home was quite unexpected. Bryce attended Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth for his freshman and sophomore years before briefly attending Campbell Hall School. He did, however, choose to transfer to Sherman Oaks’ Notre Dame High School after attending for the summer. Regretfully, he returned to his previous school, Sierra Canyon, three months later.

He has moved three times in the last six months. James returned his school supplies and withdrew from Notre Dame without participating in a game for the team. He returned to Sierra Canyon, where, as a sophomore, he averaged 3.8 points per game for the varsity squad after playing summer basketball at Campbell Hall.

Sierra Canyon, which had already defeated Coronado by 59 points, dominated the first half of their game and won 83–55. After playing 21 minutes, James finished with eight points (two 3-pointers), five thefts, and three assists. He appeared to be quite at ease with the offense.

James, a 6-foot-4, 165-pound shooting guard, is a highly sought-after high school basketball player. He has scholarship offers from Ohio State, Duquesne, and Notre Dame and is considered a four-star recruit in the Class of 2025 by Rivals. Despite not having any noteworthy high school statistics, he has already signed a NIL contract with Klutch Sports, which is LeBron James’ father’s representative. Bryce is known for his ability to finish through contact, has a terrific touch around the rim in transition, and his high release and shooting mechanics make his jump shot look intriguing.

Is Justin Pippen the new face of the Sierra Canyon?

The 6-foot-4 point guard is Sierra Canyon’s top scorer this season and one of the greatest risers in the senior class. In the end, Pippen recorded a complete stat line of 21 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals.He’s a powerful ball handler who has excellent outside shooting form; he made three three-pointers in the victory and averages four per game.

He’s constantly trying to push the envelope. His lengthened stature, which he gained three inches from the spring, is helping him generate greater separation off the dribble. He is a good rebounder and can battle opponents at the rim to keep them in front of him defensively. The competition for Pippen’s recruits is fierce, with Texas A&M, Stanford, and UC Santa Barbara.

“I feel like we all go really hard in practice, and it’s just translating to the game. It was a great experience playing on a court like this, so it especially helped the underclassmen with nerves, and we were able to get the W,” says Justin Pippen in a post-game presser.

Many people have taken notice of Justin Pippen’s flawless on-court abilities. The gifted number one finished the Hoophall Classic event with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Besides this, Justin’s name also has 4 steals and 5 assists next to it. Against a powerful desert mountain who lacked answers for his efficiency and elegance, the eighteen-year-old was on fire.

Furthermore, Pippen made a joke out of their defense by easily getting by their guards.Justin Pippen played the entire game without displaying any signs of weakness. When making baskets from three points out, he was incredibly accurate. Pippen further demonstrated his exceptional ball handling and mobility across the floor.
