Kim Mulkey, a head coach with four NCAA titles, has long maintained that a team must be talented in addition to having luck to win a championship. Two No. 1s were eliminated from the game before the Tigers could have met them last season. Even without these difficult opponents, Mulkey’s squad still needed to play at their highest level and take advantage of the chance that was given to them. They exactly did that. And now, the roaring Tigers are once again on prowl.

LSU has embarked on a remarkable journey this year, showcasing an unmatched level of determination. Their historic achievement of the longest winning streak, following their win against Ole Miss, has further fueled their desire to repeat as champions.
