Freshman guard Donovyn Hunter, who still only averages 5.3 points per game, broke out of her cocoon. She made a career-high 16 points. She was joined by the junior guard Talia von Oelhoffen, who scored 16 points as well. The two also controlled the offensive front incredibly well for the team with 4 assists each. The Beavers, moreover, showed a great defensive front, halting the Buffaloes at 20 points in both the second and third quarters.
