Recently, respected basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski, who is also known as Coach K, shared a rare revelation that captured the attention of fans worldwide.

In an interview, Coach K revealed a rare moment that Kobe Bryant and LeBron James shared with a basketball Hall of Famer.

In the interview with CNN, Coach K recalled a session with the Hall of Famer Jason Kidd. In the practice, he asked Kidd to lead the fast break drill, but things got chaotic as the ball went all over the place. Coach K gathered the team and before he could address the issue, Kidd acknowledged the situation and said, “I’ll tone it down.”

But he was immediately interrupted by Kobe, LeBron and Dwyane. They said, “No, no, no. We’ve never played with you, with a talent like you. We’ll adapt to you,” Coach revealed in the interview.

This was one of the greatest moments in his coaching career.

Coach K said, “It was one of the great moments in my coaching career where I saw talent say, come on talent, give me more.” He further added, “It’s like a piano player telling the sax player, come on, go, I can play better.”

Notably, Mike Krzyzewski, also popularly known as Coach K, started coaching at Duke University in 1980.

Coach K – a basketball icon

Coach K had an incredibly successful career as a college basketball coach. He has the most wins in NCAA Division I men’s basketball, with five national championships and 13 appearances in the Final Four. Apart from his excellence in college basketball, he also led the U.S. men’s national team to victory in the Olympics and world championships.

Coach K then retired in 2022 after an impressive 42-year career. His connection to some of the greatest players in the history of the sport shows us his mark of influence and expertise.
