There is no other player who has left quite an impact on Iowa’s basketball program as Caitlin Clark. The 22-year-old has set herself apart from the others, courtesy of her all-round talent on the hardwood. In a recent post-game press conference, Caitlin was asked about what she likes to do during her college basketball season. Clark had a very candid response as she said, “It’s nice. Obviously, basketball consumes a lot of my time. Like I said, I’m still a college kid. I still clean my apartment, and do my laundry. A lot of times I call my mom to come and do it for me. Other than that, play video games, and hang out with my friends. Do some schoolwork here and there. I think getting off my phone and living in the moment has been really important for me. Soaking in every single second.”

Caitlin Clark has had a memorable time being an NCAA Division I player for the Iowa Hawkeyes. The 6 ft point guard was a five-star recruit and announced her commitment to Iowa over Iowa State and Notre Dame. In the next 4 years, she made full use of her skills and abilities and etched her name into the history books.

Iowa’s next challenge

The Iowa Hawkeyes will host the Michigan Wolverines next in the Big 10 Conference. After their shocking upset at the hands of Nebraska, Caitlin Clark and Co. will look to get back to winning ways in this all-important home game. In addition to this, the reigning national player, Clark will also have her eyes set on becoming the all-time highest scorer in the NCAAWBB. Currently, she is just 7 points behind 3,527 points set by Kelsey Plum.

Caitlin will surely be leaving a lasting legacy at Iowa which will be extremely difficult for any other athlete to follow. However, she clearly loves being where she is and that is at Iowa. Nevertheless, she will set many records still as the Hawkeyes continue their rather successful 2023-24 campaign.
