Home/College Basketball

Thrilling his teething fandom every time he steps on the court, VJ Edgecombe has been ruling the roost for a while now. He became a 5-star recruit within 6-months of his court exploits. While many credit his game approach for his growing stature, his impressive two-way combo guard skills might take him to the Devils’ court.

Fresh from their comeback victory, the Blue Devils are likely to welcome Edgecombe in their bid to create the strongest roster. If the Long Island Lutheran star player lands in Jon Scheyer’s team, he’ll be next in Duke’s roster after generational talent like Cooper Flagg.

Leaving his home in the Bahamas, VJ Edgecombe came to America to pursue his dream of becoming a basketball star. His career shored up when he enrolled in an AAU program, the South Florida Kings. But the Basketball community didn’t notice him till he joined Austin Rivers Southeast Elite, an Adidas-sponsored team. Since then, he received scholarship offers from more than 20 programs, which serves as a testament to his basketball prowess.

As he entered his senior year of High School, Edgecombe received scholarship offers from some of the biggest programs in the country like Duke, Baylor, Kentucky, and many more. While there has been no confirmed news yet, as to which program he will commit to, as per 247 Sports, Duke and St. John’s are the top programs on his list.

The Blue Devils are on a path to creating one of the strongest roasters ever in its history. They have already secured the commitment of young prodigy Cooper Flagg and if Edgecombe also decides to join the Blue Devils, they would become one of the most dominant teams in the league.
