Currently, more than 36,000 Latino student-athletes currently play in any of the three divisions of the NCAA. One of them is Chad Baker-Mazara who moved from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to the U.S. in 2017. At the time, he was 17 years old and making his dream come true as he traveled with his grandfather. Representing the community is what the Auburn star has always been proud of.
“I take a lot of pride on that. I have played against, as well as trained with, a lot Latinos that are currently playing in college basketball. Seeing a brother or a friend put in the same effort, sometimes even more, just to make it here and fulfill a dream…it means the world,” The 6 foot 7 forward told The Latin Times back earlier this year. With a bright future ahead, here are details about his net worth, the NIL deals, and top high school plays.

However, in an interview with The Latin Times, he talked about the benefits of NIL, saying, “I have been able to help my mother, my father, my little sisters. It has its pros and cons because it makes college sports more like a business instead of just getting a scholarship. But on the bright side it has helped change lots of lives, including mine and my family’s,”
