Caitlin Clark is one of the most charismatic players in the WNBA. During her junior season with IOWA, she led her team to the national championship game and her journey was nothing short of legendary. As Clark continues to make history with every game she plays, there is another WNBA superstar who has set an unbelievable record. Angel Reese, the 2023 NCAA Champion, has set the record for the most double-doubles in a single season. Not only that, the Bayou Barbie even holds the SEC record for the most number of rebounds in a single season. So, as Clark is a record-breaker herself and has a competitive rivalry with Reese, she is looking to dethrone the Bayou Barbie. Due to this, there is an intense rivalry between both the 21-year-olds, however, who will prevail victorious?
The ongoing rivalry between Clark and Reese
After the NCAA championship match between the LSU Tigers and the IOWA Hawkeyes, the rivalry between the two WNBA stars started. Reese is famous for her bold presence on the court and she was even seen taunting Clark. In the dying minutes of LSU’s 102-85 victory, she performed the “you can’t see me” celebration and pointed to her ring finger.
Reese, after winning the championship, went on to say, “The world is always going to have a good girl and a bad girl. I’ll take that I’m going to be the bad guy because I know I’ve grown women’s basketball and inspired people.”
