Cameron Brink has been a strong force off the court through her social media with a massive following on Instagram. As a result, Brink has inked NIL deals with several brands including Buick, Urban Outfitters, Next22, and New Balance.
In October, her NIL valuation had reached $203000. Brink NIL’s deal with New Balance holds a historic significance for many reasons. First of all, she is the first women’s basketball player to sign with the brand, making her the first female basketball player to expand the New Balance roster.
With that, the deal also provides an opportunity for other female athletes in college who wish to sign significant NIL deals of their own. Hence, it counts as a major step towards greater recognition and financial opportunities for those athletes. As a part of the brand, Brink will be working with the footwear and design teams at New Balance to influence the curation of future products.
“I am honored and excited to join forces with New Balance. Their ability to empower athletes perfectly aligns with my own values, and I look forward to this journey with them. I hope we inspire athletes around the world to fearlessly pursue their dreams,” said Brink.
But there is also one thing to be seen as common in both Brink and New Balance, which is their active engagement in community-driven initiatives to bring beautiful changes in the lives of young/ budding female athletes.
Naveen Lokesh, Head of Basketball Sports Marketing at New Balance says, “We are thrilled to welcome Cameron as the first female basketball player to join the New Balance family. Cameron’s exceptional skill on the court and her desire to give back align perfectly with New Balance’s desire to change the game for the better. We are excited to support Cameron reaching new heights in her career and contributing to the growth of women’s basketball for years to come.”
The next deal on Brink’s NIL list is with the automobile company, Buick. General Motors, Buick’s parent company, has been a partner of the NCAA for over a decade now. Significantly, this deal with Brink is a part of Buick’s “See Her Greatness” campaign, aiming towards increasing women’s visibility in sports through viewership encouragement, supporting initiatives, and inclusion. In addition, they have been creating platforms where women can have and share meaningful conversations regarding the issues that they face.
Interestingly, the deal not only recognizes Brink’s remarkable skills but also the empowering and inspiring ability that she holds as a female athlete. Such instances become one of the sports industry’s many landmark moments, especially in women’s basketball.
Indeed Cameron Brink is an outstanding basketball player, setting and breaking many records.
