The regular season has almost ended with the announcement of the Big Ten Conference. The event will take place between March 6 and March 10 at the Target Center in Minneapolis. Sold-out tickets have already marked a massive support for the first time in its history. Around 109,000 fans will make their presence felt in the tournament.

Ohio State is the #1 seeded team and will play their first game on Friday against the winner of the Illinois and Maryland clash. They’ve a 25-4 record in the regular season and a 16-2 record in the Big Ten. Buckeyes have till now clinched five Big Ten Tournament Championships and were the runner-ups in the last season.
If Iowa Hawkeyes remain undefeated until the finals and Ohio State too plunders their opponents, then the two most prolific teams of the Big Ten can meet in the Finals. Till now both the teams locked horns twice in the regular season and resulted in one game each going in favor of the two teams.

Another important thing to note is that Iowa Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark accomplished the all-time highest points scorer record in the NCAA men’s and women’s basketball combined in the contest against Buckeyes. Therefore, if the two teams meet in the finals, then it will be a high-octane clash.

Notably, Clark’s camp is the second-seeded team in the Big Ten with five championship titles. Iowa has a 26-4 stat with a 15-3 conference-round tally this season.
