Senior guard Kate Martin has been a prolific performer for the Hawkeyes for quite some time. The explosive No.20 has been a driving force in providing Iowa national recognition. Apparently, she recently became the first WBB player in the program’s history to go past 900 points and 500 rebounds. In addition to this, Martin also has 120 steals and 60 blocks next to her name. The 6′ 0″ guard has been making valuable contributions in every season ever since she was drafted from Edwardsville. Moreover, she has been one of the most relied-upon players in Iowa’s elite line-up.

Head coach Lisa Bluder has expressed her commendable thoughts on Bluder’s achievement. She said, “I count on her to step up for us. People don’t understand how good she is, how hard she is to guard. She can post you up, she can knock down a three, she’s explosive off the dribble. In my mind, Kate doesn’t have enough credit.
