Kiyan Anthony is a new face of this transition as he’s following in the footsteps of an NBA legend.

Son of NBA star Carmelo Anthony, Kiyan recently sparked the rumors of him following his father’s footsteps. Anthony Sr. played for Syracuse University during 2002-03 and helped it win their first-ever NCAA title in 2003. Playing a crucial role in the victory of the university by averaging 22.2 points and 10 rebounds per game, Carmelo was awarded the Most Outstanding Player. Years later, his son is simply repeating the script.

Kiyan wants to carry the legacy forward

After his recent official visit to Syracuse, Kiyan Anthony hinted at potentially committing to Syracuse with his Instagram post. In the post, Kiyan was seen wearing the orange jersey with his dad and his mom La La Anthony while holding the NCAA trophy. He captioned the post with, “Carry the torch? 🍊#officialvisit”.

While Kiyan’s move makes it clear that he’s considering following in the footsteps of his legendary NBA father, no decision has been made by him as of now. But both fans and his contemporaries are hailing his decision.

The youngest son of the James family, Bryce James, took to Instagram stories to show his support and approval of the 16-year-old’s decision to potentially follow in his father’s footsteps. James also commented on his post. He said, “I like this.”
