Cooper Flagg is making some real moves. On Monday, during the game between the Team USA for the Paris Olympics and the Select team, Flagg showed his true potential. He was completely unstoppable. He attracted all the spotlight despite playing against a team of superstars featuring Anthony Davis and LeBron James. One of the most memorable moments that will be etched in the viewer’s mind is when Flagg scored against the ‘Chosen One’. Since then, Flagged has garnered a lot of attention.
With all this attention, it is likely that Flagg might someday beat James Jr. in the NIL valuation. While there exists a possibility of him surpassing Bronny, chances of him not being able to achieve this feat also exist. If Flagg is able to capitalize on the right opportunities that might open up in the future, then the 17-year-old might be successful in trailing Bronny James.

Bronny was leading in the college NIL rankings and at one point he had an evaluation of $7.2 million. That has been the highest NIL valuation of any college athlete since the introduction of NIL on July 1, 2021. But it is to be noted that Flagg has not yet made his college basketball debut. He has an extensive four years ahead of him if he chooses to not get drafted in the NBA.
Plus, he is under Jon Scheyer of the Blue Devils, who is certainly one of the most competent and emerging college basketball coaches. If Flagg plays his cards right then he might break Bronny’s unthinkable record. All he needs to do is keep performing well and utilize the national limelight that he is getting. Flagg not only schooled James Sr. but also showed his potential against other Team USA athletes.
