For the Auburn Tigers, their guard Honesty Scott-Grayson has been the alpha for the team. She has dropped 15.5 points per game with 3.9 rebounds per match. She would be fresh from her 16 pointer game against the Ole Miss Rebels.

Since they had lost that game, Scott-Grayson would be looking to end her team’s three-match losing streak by defeating the LSU.

For the LSU, their forward Angel Reese has been the star of the team. She leads the points average and rebounds average tally for her team with 19.8 points per match and 11.5 rebounds per contest.

In the previous match, she basketed 20 points against the Texas A&M Aggies and the LSU will again put her at the center of their plans where she can drive a lot of baskets.

Another LSU player who will attract a lot of attention is their guard Aneesah Morrow. Morrow has throttled 18.6 points per game with 9.4 rebounds per match. She stands only next to Reese in her team’s stat tally.

In the last game against the Aggies, Morrow potted an exceptional 21 points and will try to capitalize completely on every chance given to her. The way Morrow is going from coast to coast will present a difficult situation for the Auburn to tackle.

Head to Head

As per the Auburn Tigers official site, the Auburn have won 17 games while being hammered in 23 by the LSU Lady Tigers from January 1991. They have a close 8-10 home record and a 5-5 conference tally. In their last 10 matchups both the team won an equal number of games. The two last played against each other in January, 2023 that the Auburn lost by a comprehensive margin of 54-84.

Prediction

The LSU will have to tackle some difficulty since the game will played at the Auburn’s home arena. But chances are that the Kim Mulkey-coached team will emerge victorious in this match.

However, from the Auburn fans, they would be relying on the probability of the LSU losing once after their 16-match winning streak. Whatever the result a major delight for fans of both teams on a chilled Sunday.

Injuries

Fortunately, there are no injuries in either team.
