In 2023, the LSU standout experienced a lot of unexpected things, from winning the national title to being benched in a game. Nevertheless, the No. 7 began 2024 with a dominant double-double performance. This made her boyfriend to gloat over her status on social media.
With 21 points and 13 rebounds, Angel Reese recorded her seventh double-double of the season in LSU’s recent matchup against Missouri. Reese also added a steal and four assists. If there was one person who was more ecstatic than Bayou Barbie, it was her partner Fletcher.
In his story, Cam’Ron Fletcher included a video of Reese that was originally posted by ‘Women Hoops’, expressed his admiration by writing, “My goat.”

For a major part of the game, LSU played just six players. Point guards Hailey Van Lith and Last-Tear Poa as well as Morrow, Johnson, Reese, and Williams. While the recent game solidifies Angel Reese’s WNBA plans, it didn’t come without a heated moment.
Angel Reese throttling incident with Hayley Frank
A fight between Angel Reese and Hayley Frank cast a shadow on the LSU vs. Missouri game. Reese was accused of ‘throttling’ her opponent during their most recent match, which LSU won 92-72 mostly because of a strong third quarter. Reese and Frank were involved in not one, but two instances.

Mizzou’s Frank scored 5-straight that included two free throws after Reese was called for an intentional foul.
With a little more than a minute remaining in the first quarter, the LSU player crushed Frank. For the second time, Reese’s squad scored in the third quarter to extend their lead to 11 points. Reese seemed to drag Frank forcibly to the floor after grabbing her by the neck as teammate Williams fired a shot. Two such instances took place between Reese and Frank.

One of those instances saw the Missouri player hit the court floor really hard. It resulted in her withdraw from the game briefly for medical attention due to a cut on her chin. Despite this belligerent court moment, Reese’s recent performance yet again made her comeback a great one.
