The Most Outstanding Player for LSU last season, Angel Reese is back on the court. After sitting out for four consecutive games, the Bayou Barbie makes the most anticipated comeback in NCAA this season. She joined her team in their clash against Virginia Tech on Thursday.

Addressing the media, head coach Kim Mulkey broke the news about Reese’s return. In a pre-match address to the media,  Mulkey shared vital inputs regarding Reese’s inclusion in LSU’s starting line-up.

LSU’s boss Kim Mulkey attended a press conference in Baton Rouge on Wednesday. Following this, she made the revelation about Angel Reese’s participation in their clash against Virginia Tech. Mulkey said, “It’s a boost having her back. She’s a tremendous player, one of the best in the country.” Kim Mulkey has been avoiding answering the question about Reese’s suspension citing it as a “coach’s decision and locker room issues.” On being asked again to elaborate on Reese’s absence from her squad, she refused to provide further details about her decision.

In addition to this, Angel Reese also refused to comment about her missing time. She took to Twitter and posted “Please don’t believe everything you read.” in a post on Nov.19. Reese has been missing from LSU’s locker room ever since she was benched in the second half of the Lady Tigers’ 109-79 win over Kent State. Further, she was not a part of the team against Southeastern Louisiana, Texas Southern, Niagara and Virginia.

Nonetheless, Reese made an emphatic statement on her return to the squad.

The No.10 forward, Angel Reese comes out all guns blazing in her comeback match against the No.9 ranked Virginia Tech. Despite being rusty in the opening quarter by committing 2 fouls, the All-American forward played a vital hand in LSU’s comfortable win over Virginia Tech. Reese finished the night scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds along with 2 assists. Moreover, she was one of the four players in the Tigers locker room to have a double-digit score.

Ever since her absence, there have been countless rumors circulating around her equation with head coach Kim Mulkey. Nonetheless, both of them have put to rest all the controversies and teamed up to contribute to the Tiger’s overall success.
