The hype continues this season with the spectators wanting to watch every game. The craze for college basketball is such that even the USA women’s basketball team stars have a list of their favorite players and teams to watch out for. A reel was posted regarding the same on USA basketball and WNBA official channels collaboration that had the veterans recounting their favorites.
The NCAA women’s basketball regular season commenced on November 6 and has created a lot of excitement among fans and stars alike. Last year the NCAA Finale between the Louisiana State University Lady Tigers and the Iowa Hawkeyes gathered a record 9.9 million viewers. And now, amid the ongoing NBA season, the NCAA is creating its own commotion and cheer-leading.
College favorites of USA women’s basketball stars

The USA women’s basketball team members especially their point guards Arike Ogunbowale and Sabrina Ionescu along with their power forward Aliyah Boston and shooting guard Rhyne Howard spoke about their favorite NCAA women’s basketball players that they would be looking forward to this season. The list contained all popular names who are stars for their particular team.
“Hannah freshman at Notre Dame, Olivia when you know she’s back healthy. I’m excited to see her play. Really all the Notre Dame players… Ashley Owusu she’s a bucket. MiLaysia I think her name is from South Carolina. She’s tough, obviously Cailtin Clark is tough. You know I’m excited to see Paige. Look I then named the whole roster,” stated Ogunbowale.
“So definitely all my Gamecock girls, but especially Camila because I think this is her year. She’s gonna shine and she has already shown that in her first game,” divulged Boston.
“Look, I’m most excited to see all of Gators women’s basketball because as you know I’m the new assistant coach. Definitely some of the other big names Angel Reese, Falu’jae, MiLaysia Fulwiley… she’s tough. But I’m definitely excited just to see how it continues to grow from last season to this season,” remarked Howard.
“Caitlin Clark. I’m excited to see her come out and hoop,” said Ionescu.
While the New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu named Caitlin Clark as her favorite player, the new assistant coach for Florida Gators Rhyne Howard was quick to reminisce about her team as well as the Lady Tigers players Angel Reese and Flau’’jae Johnson. Caitlin has often been compared to Ionescu for her three-pointer and logo threes, and both have been drawing parallels to the NBA legend Stephen Curry.

The South Carolina Gamecocks’ freshman MiLaysia Fulwiley has received a lot of attention from fans and stars alike for her outstanding performance in their season opener where she pocketed 17 points with 6 assists in a blowout victory against the Notre Dame.

The Lady Tigers stretch-four Angel Reese meanwhile lost her maiden game against the Colorado Buffaloes by an astounding margin of 78-92. The Iowa Hawkeyes on the other hand decimated the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights by an unassailable margin of 102-46.

What’s the USA women’s basketball team up to?
Meanwhile, the USA women’s basketball team had organized a training camp between November 7- 9 at Atlanta. The women’s team is eyeing its eight consecutive gold medal at the Paris Olympics in 2024.
They also have played an exhibition game against the University of Tennessee on Nov. 5 where they cruised past them with a humongous score of 95-59. And will be participating in another one against the Duke University on November 12.
