Angel Reese is always in the spotlight. The 22-year-old turned a lot of heads when people pointed fingers at her for having a low GPA. The incident dates back to the time when she was having a rough patch in the NCAA and had missed a couple of games for the Louisiana State University Lady Tigers. But now with her latest achievement, Reese hit back at her trolls who had speculated that her low grades had barred her from participating for the LSU on the court.

Reese recently earned her bachelor’s degree from LSU and is well within time. To announce the same, the Maryland-born took to social media platform X and posted a message taking a dig at her GPA critics on Saturday. Fans were excited to see a confident Reese taking her revenge.

A ferocious Reese took the opportunity of her graduation to slam her critics citing that she completed her degree within four years. Reese’s statement gave a glimpse of how much accusations had hurt her and now, she had the last laugh at her critics.

Notably, Reese had missed four games for the LSU Tigers. At that time, her teammate Flau’jae Johnson’s mother was involved in an altercation with Reese’s mother Angel Webb Reese. Johnson’s mother had claimed that Reese had low grades in college. This led a lot of people to speculate that Reese was not playing basketball due to her low grades and had been ousted from the team for the same.

Later Reese after her four-game break came forward to reveal that it was due to her mental health and now she looked fit and fine to resume her NCAA career. Thus, she put an end to all rumors, but now that she has hit back at her trolls it looks like she was hurt by the allegations. Thankfully, for her, she has always found a supporting pillar in her former head coach Kim Mulkey.

Mulkey had at that time refused to divulge the exact reason for Reese’s absence and specified that it was due to “locker room issues”. And recently after her graduation, Mulkey once again extended her support by sharing the passing post from LSU’s official Instagram handle on her story. This reflects the amount of care Mulkey has showered throughout Reese’s years with the Lady Tigers.

Reese would have breathed a sigh of relief after giving an apt reply to her haters and hopefully will continue to reach heights even in the WNBA.
