The LSU Tigers are conquering any challenge that has been put in front of them this NCAA season. The defending champions are on a 10-0 unbeaten run after their season opener humiliation at Vegas. Amidst all the locker room drama, Angel Reese and Co. have proven why they are the current national champions.

After completely annihilating the McNeese State Cowgirls in their previous outing, the Lady Tigers hosted the Northwestern State Demons on Sunday. They showed no mercy as they dominated again to secure a thumping 81-36 victory

LSU continue their supremacy at home

The LSU Tigers looked in total control right from the word go. They made a commanding start to the game with a 13-0 run in the opening minutes of the first quarter. The Most Outstanding Player for them last season, Angel Reese took charge into her hands and scored 7 points along with 4 rebounds. As a result, LSU was in the lead 19-6 by the end of the opening quarter. Reese shifted her game into the next gear in the subsequent quarter. The All-American forward further extended LSU’s lead to 19 points before half-time. In addition to this, LSU’s prolific scorer this season, Aneesah Morrow joined her and had 8 points and 10 rebounds to her name. As a result, LSU was sitting comfortably on 34-15 halfway through the game.

Reese and Morrow didn’t slow down in the third quarter and both of them reached their double-double in no time. Furthermore, sophomore guard Flau’jae Johnson also joined the party with her contribution of 11 points. The three of them continue to pile up in the penultimate quarter with Reese being the top scorer. She finished her night with 25 points and 14 rebounds. In the end, it was all too much for the Demons as LSU sealed a comfortable 81-36 victory at home.

Aneesah Morrow shines again

Junior guard Aneesah Morrow is having a dream debut season with the LSU Tigers. The 20-year-old has been in tremendous form ever since Mulkey decided to play her as a forward. Morrow impressed in yet another outing for LSU as she ended up with her fifth consecutive double-double. Apparently, she ended with 16 points and 14 rebounds along with 1 assist for the night. It seems, no team has any idea how to stop her.

The LSU Tigers are in no mood to let their guard down this season. The margin and manner of their victories have been the standout feature of their game so far this season. Moreover, they don’t seem to get carried away and have looked focused each time they have stepped onto the court.
