Angel Reese’s growing absence is creating head-banging and hullabaloo in the ongoing NCAA season. The ‘Bayou Barbie’ was missing during Friday’s game against Southeastern Louisiana. Before that, she was benched in the second half of the Kent State win last week. This fueled speculations about the alleged bad blood between coach Kim Mulkey and the star player. The bickering soon took an ugly turn on social media when Angel’s mother defended her daughter’s GPA-fueled suspension.

Amid these raging rumors, both Mulkey and Reese attempted to hush the whispers. However, those who read the larger locker-room patterns reckon that it’s an all-out ego battle of supremacy casting shadows on LSU’s consecutive championship campaign. In the backdrop of the growing grapevine, Angel Reese tried to set the records straight.

The superstar who became the subject of speculations requested people not to believe every story they heard. Coach Mulkey, during post-game pressers, also assured fans about Reese’s comeback. However, several speculations are flying around on social media, and the player aimed to put it to rest. She shared her perspective with her 375k X followers.

“Please don’t believe everything you read,” she wrote.

Sparks and speculations spread when the Lady Tigers faced defeat in their season opener. It earned the player the wrath of the LSU fandom. Despite her comeback in the next game, she continued to face fan fury. In the backdrop of these events, Angel got sidelined. Many called it Coach Kim’s classic move to discipline players for getting too big for their boots.

“If you do some disciplining of your own children, do you think we’re entitled to know that?” questioned the coach when asked about Angel Reese’s situation. But these ambiguous assertions are only making fans talk more about it.
