Angel Reese is known for her outspoken and flashy personality, declaring for the WNBA in a trend-setting way by partnering up with Vogue. The very same personality traits, however, have been questioned since last year’s NCAA final. All she did was taunt back at Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes during the final. It’s the same taunt that Clark was doing the entire tournament last year and yet Reese was the only one who got trolled for it.

Her performance during this year’s Elite 8 was not up to standards, and it gave many another chance to talk negatively about her. Yet ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith feels differently about Reese’s decision. He feels she is 100% ready and doesn’t doubt her work ethic, one bit. He also suggests that Reese has the “championship pedigree” and is a high-end competitor. Nevertheless, he does think that she lacks in one thing.

She (Angel Reese) doesn’t create much off the bounce. she’s physical she’s strong she’s rough she defends. I like her a lot. um my number one concern about her is her legs in terms of jumping ability and the movement,” he said.

Smith further explained that the height advantage Reese had during the NCAA level would be nonexistent. She will have to jump more, and get a better lift-off to stand a chance in the WNBA. He acknowledged that Reese had suffered a leg injury and Smith believes she will still justify the hype. Reese too believes in herself and that is why she chose Vogue for her WNBA announcement; ready to prove the doubters wrong.
