After an immaculate run with the Tigers and an illustrious 4 years of NCAA WBB, Angel Reese bids adieu to the college basketball court. The Bayou Barbie is all set to enter the professional world of the WNBA. However, she did not call a press conference or post it on social media platforms. In fact, she wore her best outfits and outed the news with a Vogue photoshoot, for which the Lawn Tennis mogul Serena Williams was the inspiration. But before she left the PMAC for good, the 2023 NCAA champion stopped to give her beloved coach Kim Mulkey credits.
While you may think she applauded the head coach for her basketball vision, it was not so. Reese thanked Kim Mulkey for pushing her to embrace her personality outside of the court. In her interview with Vogue, the junior forward said, “She gets on me hard, and that’s something I need. We have that kind of relationship where we can bump heads but also be on the same page: We just want to win.” The Hall of Famer coach is known for her high-wattage personal style.
The 21-year-old has always seen fashion as her alternate career choice if she was not a hooper. Reese has also given the world a glimpse of her inner fashionista with many diva-like appearances. She is also not hiding the fact that she is at the top of the NIL deals. In fact, it is no newsflash if you see Reese with bags from Chanel, sneakers from Rick Owens, or Prada products while she is out and about.
