“I attribute every ounce of success to your guidance and unconditional love. You are who I do it for every single day,” were Cameron Brink’s words of gratitude for her mother, included in her WNBA draft declaration. Blazing on the court with her shot-blocking and versatile prowess, Brink has been a force to reckon with this NCAA season. Now that she is about to embark on her professional journey, Mama Brink has shone a light on her daughter’s impressive college career.
Brink averaged 17.8 points, 12 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game in the regular season. Moreover, her rebounding rate of 24.4% ranks Brink at #1 in the United States. Similarly, her defensive ability is outstanding. She boasts 3.5 blocks per game, making her a formidable shot-blocker. Her blocking percentage of 13.3% has placed her at #3 across the nation. Moving forward in her career, the 2x Pac-12 Player of the Year and 3x Defensive Player of the Year recently made up her mind to enter the 2024 WNBA draft.

It is an exceptional and speechless feeling for a parent when they are recognized for their child’s accomplishments. Similar is the case with Michelle Bain Brink as Cameron’s accolades are touching the sky. In her recent Instagram stories, Michelle shared various posts featuring Cameron.
The video also featured a description of her major accolades, “She’s accomplished nearly everything in college game, has she won multiple conference titles? Yep. Did she win a conference Player of the Year? Twice. And last but certainly not least, did she win a Natty? You already know. The three-time Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year ranks first in blocks, third in boards, all while averaging 17 points per game.”

Notably, Cameron is the only player after Breanna Stewart to have accumulated 500 points, 300 boards, and 100 blocks in consecutive seasons. Not only from her mother, Cameron is also getting the blessings of her god-brother Stephen Curry wishing her his best.
“Cam, just wanna say Congratulations. Huge, huge announcement, huge milestone, huge accomplishment. Preparing yourself for the WNBA draft, but I know you still got some unfinished business in the NCAA Tournament. But take a moment to pat yourself on the back for a job well done to get to this point,” the 4x NBA champ said in another clip shared by Michelle.
Cameron will be entering the 2024 WNBA draft at the end of this season and is expected to be one of the top picks overall. Let’s take a look.

What does the future in the WNBA hold for Cameron Brink?
Generating significant buzz, parallels are being drawn between the 2024 WNBA draft and the 2003 NBA draft picks as just like the 2003 NBA draft, the 2024 WNBA draft is boasting of a crop of exceptional talent including the NCAA all-time record-breaking queen Caitlin Clark, along with the unapologetically dominant Angel Reese, much like what LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, and Dwyane Wade did in 2003.
Secondly, LeBron James was the undisputed No.1 draft pick, similarly, Caitlin Clark is a clear choice to be the No.1 draft pick in the 2024 WNBA draft class. While there are in-depth details related to this comparison, Cameron’s presence on the draft board will be an anticipated addition.
