“Whole Another Human Came Out”: Gilbert Arenas Trash Talked 8th Grader Bronny James Into Rolling His Eyes vs Skyy Clarke

Gilbert Arenas and LeBron James share a meaningful bond that cannot be easily replicated. King James even requested Arenas for a second opinion on his kid, Bronny. They went from being on-court rivals to becoming close friends. And so, Arenas trained with Bronny for a while at LeBron’s request. He quickly saw that the young man was about to undergo a drastic transformation. Being the heir apparent to his father’s legacy, Bronny James did not have a typical upbringing. LeBron and Bronny both know this to be true.

As a result, the Los Angeles Lakers veteran got the two forces together, his son and his former adversary. Arenas discussed his observations of Bronny’s game in a recent episode of Gil’s Arena.

Roll over: A different James awakens

Bronny was once put to the test by Gilbert Arenas, who matched him up against Scottie Clark when he was in the 8th grade. As anticipated, he was receiving rough treatment from Clark on the court. Gilbert pushed hard on Bronny and triggered him to retort.

“You don’t know what he is; he got the Bugatti engine in him…I trained him against Skyy Clarke; you’re going to let him kill you like this,” said Gilbert Arenas. At some point, Arenas’ words dug into Bronny as he rolled out his eyes at him, “His eyes rolled back, and the whole other human out.”

According to Arenas’ account, something inside Bronny changed after that. In minutes, he went on to crush Clark 5-0. Gil was taken aback by Bronny’s actions during the contest and was surprised by how quickly he went on to dominate Clark, leading him to conclude that Bronny’s genetics were responsible for his sudden transformation. Arenas went on to predict that the younger James will become a more formidable player once he reaches a height of 6’6 or 6’7.

Bronny James is carrying the weight of his father’s legacy. The storyline in the mainstream media has been that LeBron and Bronny James will go on the floor together, as wished by the father. But after Bronny’s medical episode, the course of his NCAA career lies in a haze.
