Who is Boozer Twins’ Father, Carlos Austin Boozer Jr.?

Carlos Austin Boozer Jr. was a blue devil way before his young kids. He was a star at Duke and won the 2001 NCAA national championship there. Carlos was the 35th overall pick in the 2002 NBA draft and started his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers. His 13-year-long NBA career resulted in two All-Star selections in 2007 and 2008.

The undersized power forward had quite a satisfactory career and respectable stats as he averaged 16.2 points and 9.5 rebounds per game over his career. Carlos Boozer earned a Bronze medal as part of the 2004 U.S. Olympic team in Athens, where he actively competed. He returned in 2008 to help the “Redeem Team” secure Gold in Beijing

Carlos loves his kids’ stardom and is very proud of the fact that people recognize him as Cameron and Cayden’s dad. In an interview with Andscape, Carlos said,” Hey, Mr. Boozer, you’re Cameron and Cayden’s dad?’ I get that all the time. It probably happened for the first time two or three years ago. Every game they play is at an NBA level [of interest]… Their game has gone viral since they were freshmen [in high school].”

What’s your perspective on:

Will the Boozer twins surpass their father's legacy at Duke and in the NBA?

Have an interesting take?

Since retiring from the NBA in 2015, Carlos Boozer has dedicated himself to mentoring his twin sons, Cameron and Cayden, imparting wisdom from his time at Duke and his professional career.

The twins fondly remember their father’s career and display great respect and affection towards his achievements. “He had a great career,” Cameron said. “He played 13 seasons, two-time All-Star, an Olympic gold medal. Not too many people are able to do that, especially as an undersized [power forward] when the NBA was so much bigger. He had an amazing career.”

Carlos met and married his wife at Duke, with whom he shares three kids.

Who is Boozer Twins’ Mother, Cindy “CeCe” Blackwell?

Cindy CeCe Blackwell graduated from Duke alongside Carlos Boozer. Cindy married Carlos in 2003 and gave birth to three sons, Carmani, Cameron, and Cayden. Carmani was born with a blood disorder and required a bone marrow transplant at a young age. Carmani is a freshman pitcher at the University of Fort Lauderdale. The couple separated in 2015 but continued to co-parent their kids.

CeCe is a business owner in Atlanta and runs a boutique. She is a regular at her sons’ games and is their biggest supporter. Earlier in April, during the Chipotle Nationals Semi-finals, CeCe said in an Instagram clip of Cayden’s buzzer-beater and captioned it, “Cayden for the win!!!!

CeCe always made sure that the twins were assessed for their performances and even directed recruiters to contact them individually. “From the beginning, I told [college coaches], ‘You need to call them individually, you need to have a conversation with them about their role individually,’ ” CeCe said. “‘How they will be utilized, what you envision, how they will fit into your offense because they are two different people at two different positions.’ What may be right for one may not be right for the other. And I let everyone know that was really important from the very beginning.”

It is hard for CeCe to acknowledge the fact that all her kids will have moved out by the end of summer. Carmani moved out to Fort Lauderdale last summer and twins will be flying off to Duke this summer. However, both Cece and Carlos can be expected to visit them for most of their games.

What is Boozer Twin’s Parents’ Nationality?

Carlos Boozer was born in an army family, and so he had to move a lot as a kid. He was born at a military base in Aschaffenburg, West Germany, to an American family. Boozer grew up in Juneau, Alaska, where he attended high school.
