Born in Savannah, Georgia, in 2003, Flau’jae was surrounded by music and adversity. Her father, the rapper Camouflage, was tragically shot just six months before her birth, leaving a legacy of music that would inspire her for years to come. While music was in her blood already, sports was also a field that interested her. Her beginning in sports was a little unconventional— playing as a pitcher. Surprisingly enough, she was the only girl on a baseball team.

Then, by the time she reached Sprayberry High School in Marietta, Georgia, basketball had taken center stage. Her time at Sprayberry was nothing short of spectacular. She became the school’s all-time leading scorer, and her talent caught the entire country’s attention.
