Lauren has been a big fan of Adam Sandler since she was a kid. Her recent run-in with the Sandman left her in complete awe of the superstar. Meeting Sandler was an amazing surprise for the player who went for a quiet breakfast with her family in Hollywood. 

Following her run-in, she told the media, “My family, we just love Adam Sandler. I was actually talking about it on the way there with Coach Shannon ― what if we see Adam Sandler today? We’re sitting there, and I see him in the corner of my eye. Sienna is screaming. My dad, before we even get a chance to stand up, he’s already over there taking a picture with him … It was just a crazy experience. I can’t believe I met him.” 

She described Sandler as “He is legit our favorite actor of all time, and all of his movies are like our comfort movies.” It is no secret that Adam Sandler is one of the funniest and most talented actors and has a huge fan following. Betts even invited Sandler to her next game and social media is hinting on an on-screen collaboration.

Sandler’s no stranger to casting athletes in his films—think Shaquille O’Neal in Grown Ups or Kevin Garnett in Uncut Gems. Even the original Happy Gilmore had golfer Lee Trevino stealing scenes. So, the idea of Betts popping up in one of his projects isn’t totally out of left field. However, there’s no evidence to prove that Lauren will be part of the next Adam Sandler star cast ensemble. 

Sandler’s next big movie is ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ which is the sequel to his famous movie with the same name. Sandler was portrayed as an amateurish golfer who is actually a hockey player known for his slapshot. Although there is no indication that Betts will be alongside Sandler in the movie, it would have been fun to watch to two play golf together on the Big Screen.
