Recently, the Olympics 2024 list of 41 basketball players headlined the 4-time NBA champion. And so, he will be joining hands with Team USA soon to wreak havoc for the other nations on the holy grounds of the Olympics.
Consequently, many well-wishers have been posting stories to celebrate his Olympic debut. Among these is Cameron Brink’s mother, who expressed her pride on Instagram.

When USA Basketball announced that the 2-time MVP is one of the members representing Team USA in the Paris Olympics later this July, it surely created a whirlwind. There is no denying that Stephen Curry, who has represented Team USA’s senior national squad since 2010, is more than ready to be a wall of rock for his team at the Olympics. Following the announcement, Michelle Bain-Brink, Cameron Brink’s mother, was among the first few to show her happiness.
She put up an Instagram story, sharing the official announcement post by USA Basketball. She also added a motivating caption for Steph saying, “Let’s go Stephen Curry!” She took her sweet time to create the story as she added the Olympic rings and Eiffel Tower stickers. There is no doubt that Brink’s family is extremely close to Steph’s family. Further, the admiration and love between all the members is also undeniably clear.
However, some fans of the basketball world are surely confused as to why this legend-in-the-making of the NBA has not already made his impact known in the world of the Olympics.
Why has Stephen Curry not participated in the Olympics yet?
When we look at the accolades that this tremendous giant of the Golden State Warriors has collected over his 15 years in the NBA, it raises the question as to why he has not already made it into the Olympics. The eight-time All-Star took his name back from the candidates just two months before the 2016 Olympics. Additionally, something similar happened in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. However, the reason is quite straightforward. He had mentioned several reasons for not participating in the Olympics, which also included knee and ankle injuries.

Nonetheless, this time Stephen Curry is back in his form and nothing seems to be taking him away from representing the USA in the Olympics. Further, getting the USA a medal is likely to be the only achievement this rockstar has not bagged yet. Nevertheless, fans can only hope that everything stays in line.
