NCAA Basketball action will continue when the Houston Cougars try to build on their push to the apex of college basketball. Their next test will come against the Tulane Green Wave, in a game that the Cougars are expected to win.

The Houston Cougars are one of the best teams in college basketball this season. They are 13-1 all year. However, they have faced only one ranked team in this run. That team was the Texas Tech Red Raiders, who are four spots below Houston in the AP Poll right now. The Cougars beat them in that game. They also had a big loss at the hands of Tulsa to end 2020, their only loss of the season.

The Green Wave are 6-4 to start the season. One of their four losses came just two weeks prior at the hands of the Cougars. Houston won that game by 21 points and notched their 11th win of the season. Will they be able to add their 14th win against Green Wave?

NCAA Basketball: The Cougars roll to another win?

Houston has already proven this season that they are superior to the Green Wave. While not many people doubted that heading into their matchup, this game looks like another mismatch. There are always upsets in NCAA hoops. The Cougars had one pulled off against them by Tulsa. However, the Green Wave needs a lot more than what they have to beat the Cougars.

While they have talented guards like Jaylen Forbes and Jordan Walker, the Green Wave will not be able to keep up with players like Marcus Sasser in Houston. This game is looking to be headed in one-way unless Tulane has a night to remember and pulls off the big win. Or else, they are falling to 2-3 in their last five.

The Cougars will be lining up with DeJon Jarreau, Marcus Sasser, Quentin Grimes, Brison Gresham, and Justin Gorham. Meanwhile, the Green Wave will start with Gabe Watson, Jordan Walker, Jaylen Forbes, Nobal Days, and Tylan Pope.

For our prediction, we have to stick with the Cougars. Tulane showed nothing to prove that they can stop Houston the last time they met, so this meeting should be no different.
