As the coronavirus crisis has impacted millions of people in the United States, the world of sport has come to a standstill. Athletes have been forced to self-quarantine, while the training facilities of teams are slowly opening with restrictions in place. For NFL teams like the Philadelphia Eagles, video conferences are the new way to stay updated with each other. The Eagles invite guest speakers to their conference calls, and Warriors coach Steve Kerr once delivered his presence and shared a bit of his knowledge with the team.
Steve Kerr, who has won eight NBA championships as a player and a coach, addressed the players and stressed the benefit of going the extra mile during practice. “The best example I took from him was, after practice [Warriors guard] Steph Curry takes a hundred shots. After a full practice,” Eagles player Will Parks said, as per ESPN. “That’s another thing, to be able to work hard after work and be able to dial in and dedicate even more time to your craft.”
Steve Kerr has been incredibly successful ever since he was appointed as the head coach of the Golden State Warriors. Barring this year, Kerr and his team have earned a ticket to the NBA Finals ever since he took charge in 2014. The Eagles also invited another legendary coach from the NBA to interact and enlighten their players.

Jackson shared many experiences from his glorious coaching career with the team. He even explained about the personalities of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, the best players he has ever coached. The Eagles players experienced an enriching session with Jackson, and his presence excited the 2017 Super Bowl champions.
“[Jackson] was talking about some of the guys that went unnoticed that kind of kept them together,” Brandon Graham of the Eagles said. “Everybody’s got to know their role. And enjoy your role, because if we’re a team, everybody has a place and everybody has a job. Whatever job is issued to you, that’s what you’ve got to accept until things change, because injuries happen, all kind of things happen, but how you handle yourself as a teammate is very important. That’s going to translate real well to us, especially hearing it from him.”
The Eagles had the Zen Master, Phil Jackson, on their video call today. “He was everything you thought he would be: real chill and cool,” one player said.
