As Kevin Durant puts in a request for his trade, the woes of the Brooklyn Nets now seem aggravated. More so, Kyle Irving is looking to leave the Nets as well. It has put the Nets under immense pressure to find their potential replacements during a troubling time. Recently, the Celtics beat the Nets 4-0 in the first round of the playoff series.

Moreover, the NFL legend and former tight end Shannon Sharpe tweeted his concerns for the Nets and who should be under their trade radar. On the other hand, the Nets’ front office handed some form of the majority of control and decisions to their star players. However, it has now come to haunt them with the possibility of a trade with the Boston Celtics.

Reflecting on his thoughts, Sharpe said, “Best trade for Nets might be Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Horford and 3 1st rders. Thinks Nets would want Robert Williams instead of Horford tho. Don’t see Suns doing any deal that doesn’t include Booker in return.”

Further, Shannon Sharpe hinted explicitly about what will transpire in the off-season. Amidst the current drama in the front office, this deal is still in the grey area. However, it could be highly possible that Durant and Irving get traded for Brown, Smart, and one of Harford or Williams.

What is the front office conundrum circulating in the Nets with Kevin Durant and Irving?

The Nets first experienced management turmoil at the hands of their star players after the HC, Kenny Atkinson, was released. One of the close observers of the team, Matt Sullivan, also stated that it appears as if the unit is scared of Durant and Irving. However, there are no official statements from any players.

While speaking in an interview, Sullivan said, “I just remember not being able to talk to the management, talk to the coaches, talk to anyone without them being kind of scared of these guys. Including Kenny Atkinson, who built this whole program up.”
What do you think about Sharpe’s prediction? Will the Nets find their replacements soon?
