It looked like Sanders’ vision was to build a college football powerhouse. However, that idea soon fell apart and his tenure at Jackson State ended abruptly. Meanwhile, in light of this, the Los Angeles Lakers legend, Shaquille O’Neal gave his two cents on Sanders’ decision.

On ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq,’ Shaquille O’Neal along with his regular companions Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams, delved deeper into the ongoing scenario about Deion Sanders.

Amidst the podcast, Nischelle Turner brought up a question about Deion Sanders. She asked Shaq about his opinions on Sanders’ decision to leave Jackson State for the Colorado Buffaloes. Shaq’s response to Turner’s question indicated his support for Sanders’ decision. Shaq replied that he supported Sanders’ decision to leave for a better opportunity. As Sanders had already done everything he could for Jackson State. In addition to that, The Diesel also criticized the people who were unhappy about Sanders’ decision.

Moreover, to support his opinion, Shaq disclosed an intriguing fact. He added that he heard that Jackson State was being plagued by a lot of internal problems. As a result of this, he said regarding Sanders, ‘He got to beg for money and do this and do that.’ Shaq’s statement implied that he thought Sanders did the right job by leaving, as he was underpaid.

Thereafter, the Diesel complimented Sanders and advised him to remain stern and not listen to the criticisms. Finally, Shaquille O’Neal finished off by congratulating Sanders for this decision. Further stating that he was happy for him. Therefore, Shaq’s words clearly indicated his support for Sanders’ decision.
