ESPN personalities are literally drooling over Michael Jordan’s documentary. They released another edition of ‘I Love 90s Basketball’ but this time exclusively about Michael Jordan. ESPN analyst and writer, Michael Wilbon shares a hilarious experience of watching Jordan’s ‘spectacular move’ in ’91 NBA finals. It evidently describes the intensity of that moment as a spectator!
The ‘spectacular move’
Well, who wouldn’t remember that move by Jordan? The kids of this generation go back to watch it and probably say, ‘never seen that till date!’. Though, many believe it to be overrated but it is remembered as one of the best moves in NBA history.

This incredible play dates back to 1991 NBA Finals, Chicago Bulls vs Los Angeles Lakers. Dominantly, it was Jordan vs Magic Johnson but it was the first finals for the legend and he did make it count in every way. In the very last few minutes of the game, Michael thinks of that? Then it’s insane!
Jordan went on to dunk with his right hand and switched it to the left, mid-air, to finish the layup. It was terrific and stunning. It was more like a pause-play button was inserted there and Jordan just stops in the air to switch his hands. The entire Chicago Stadium was in awe with what they witnesses and they gave a huge standing ovation.

An amusing story of when Michael Jordan finished the ‘move’
Nothing will be funnier than Michael Wilbon’s reaction to that moment. He was sitting in the press row and apparently he bit David Aldridge after watching that move. “In press row, you’re not supposed to scream out, you’re not supposed to show facial expressions,” Wilbon narrated, “We’re all in Chicago Stadium. We’re on the floor. I’m sitting next to my dear friend and colleague for many years, David Aldridge. And I turned and rather than scream, I bit David’s arm… I just bit his shoulder and Aldridge didn’t scream out. He just looked at me and said, ‘You bit me?’. I said, ‘I’m sorry. I didn’t want to scream.’. And he just goes, ‘You bit me’. And then later, he takes the jacket off. I had bit him right through the jacket and the shirt. There were marks in the skin. Funny now, very embarrassing then.”
Surely it was amusing to know this since this could be the impact after watching Jordan play. Probably David will think the next time before sitting beside Wilbon!
