Damian Lillard loves the WWE. He is the only NBA player who is a part of WWE 2K Battlegrounds. He also has had multiple collaborations with several wrestlers.
Earlier this year, Adidas launched Steve Austin Dame 6, a collaboration between legendary wrester Steve Austin and Lillard. He continued this trend of collaborating with WWE legends.
A month ago, Adidas launched the Dame 7 Ric Flair, a collaboration between Lillard and ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair. And yesterday, Adidas launched the Dame 7 Ric Flair 2.

Ric Flair’s infamous ‘Golden Robe’ was the inspiration for these sneakers. The sneakers have lightweight knit and suede uppers borrowed from Lillard’s previous releases. However, the tongue contains a huge black Damian Lillard logo, with Ric Flair’s signature on the sides.
The retail price of these sneakers is set at $110 dollars.
Ric Flair opens up about collaborating with Damian Lillard
Hours after the launch, The ‘Nature Boy’ made an appearance in ESPN’s The Jump. When asked about the how did he come about this collaboration with Damian Lillard, Ric said, “Well, I was told that he was a huge wrestling fan maybe 3 or 4 years ago.
“And then Adidas approached and asked me whether I would be interested. I said absolutely yes. I guess I am Damian’s second favorite wrestler to Steve Austin, I guess.”

He also described his hilarious conversation with Steve Austin. “Steve got to go first, which I will never get over personally. I was so jealous. I called Steve and said, ‘You don’t even basketball man. What’s up with that?'”
He added, “So they called me and said, ‘Damian wants to do a shoe with you.’ And I said, ‘That’s absolutely fantastic’. We probably would have had this launch earlier, but the COVID caused problems with product delay and all.

“But it finally came to fruition, and it was worth every minute of the wait to be part of it but I’m following the Trail Blazers house.”
Lillard and Co. start their season at home against the Utah Jazz on December 23. We surely will see these beautiful pair of sneakers on the court.
