Luka Doncic relishes his meeting with Kobe Bryant
On December 29, 2019, Luka had the chance to shake hands with legendary Kobe Bryant. The occasion was Los Angeles Lakers’ third season game against the Dallas Mavericks. Luka jumped on the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and took pictures both with Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant.
He narrated the entire experience and revealed, “Yeah, I mean he said some bad words in my language, you know. I was like, ‘who is talking to me in my language?’ I was like, just looked behind and it was Kobe. So I was just… It was something amazing. I would never forget this day. And after the game, I came, took a picture with him. He was one of the guys I looked up to. That day was amazing and I’ll never forget this.”
Kobe Bryant was there to cheer for the Lakers and he tried to play his part from outside of the court. The Black Mamba trash-talked in Slovenian to make sure Luka hears him out. What a man! He later himself clicked Luka’s picture with his daughter. Luka was fortunate to get himself and Kobe in the same frame that day.
