LeBron James speaks directly to his haters

After lifting the fourth championship of his career, LeBron James seemed elated and had the look of a man who had made a strong statement. The sharp criticism that he has kept receiving must have hardly gone unnoticed in this age of social media. In a fitting turn of events, he made it a point to come back at his critics through their preferred medium of social media.

On Instagram, Bron wrote, “UP IN 💨 TOUR. WHAT THEY GONE SAY NOW?!?! I know they’ll make up another criteria that nobody else has ever had in the history of the game. But Guess what though, bring it on please!! Heavy is the head that holds the 👑 they say. Let’s get it! #ThekidfromAKRON🤴🏾 #RevengeSZNCompleted😉”

The post caught the attention of soccer great Neymar Jr. and many other notable people who support the King. With this statement, Bron must have shut a lot of mouths who solely function to criticize the 16-time All-star.

Bron’s championship run with the Lakers did not come easy

The L-Train joined the Lakers in the 2018-19 season. His injury failed him that year and as a result, the legendary player could not enter a post-season for the first time in 14 years. In the 2019-20 season, especially during their time in the Orlando bubble, Bron had a couple of rough outings where analysts disregarded his chances of an NBA Finals appearance, let alone winning the championship.

All of this negativity must have only led to more aggression and anger in Bron. As most champions do, he utilized this anger on the court and delivered one of the most memorable performances in the history of the league. He averaged 27.6 pts, 10.8 rebs, 8.8 assists, and 1.2 steals at an FG% of 56, with a +/- of 7.9. This also means King James scored a double-double in all the 21 matches (in terms of averages).
