The Los Angeles Lakers are the #1 seed in the Western Conference. Though they have the best record, their recent form is worrisome. LeBron James and the team recorded a dismal 3-5 record in the seeding games, a complete opposite of what was expected of them. But they are now in the playoffs, and they have more good news for fans ahead of their first-round matchup.

The Lakers went through with their seeding games without the services of veteran Rajon Rondo. The 34-year-old suffered a fractured thumb in training, which caused him to exit the Bubble shortly after entering during the beginning of July.

Coach Frank Vogel recently provided a massive update on Rondo’s return, which absolutely is a huge plus for the entire team. While Rondo is not fully fit to play, he has apparently entered the Bubble and is quarantining himself.

Rajon Rondo is a player who has been in the league since 2006. Though he might not be the same player now as he was with the Celtics, his experience matters a lot. His basketball IQ is always of great use, no matter the team he plays with.

His colleagues also acknowledge his gifted ability and ensure they learn from him in the time being. As Rondo is now back, the Lakers will have to wait from him to end his mandatory quarantine. Here’s what Danny Green had to say about Rondo’s arrival to the bubble:

“Luckily he’s here now, hopefully we can see him out of quarantine (soon) because we need his mind and his IQ. His input is going to be huge for us whether he’s playing or not to help us advance to the next step.”
