As the Denver Nuggets took on the LA Clippers in Game 6 of their second-round matchup, Paul George stood out with his heroics! This game demanded high-intensity basketball from both teams, and they didn’t fail to deliver. PG13 produced a moment of brilliance in the third quarter to assert his authority in the game.
The Clippers came into Game 6 on the back of a loss in the previous fixture. Thus, they carried more pressure than their opponents, who’ve already survived a Game 7 in the 2020 NBA Playoffs. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard had to step up big on the night for the Clips, and it was the former that got off to a good start.
Though PG has not been in his best version this series, he brutally denied Jamal Murray from making a layup in the third quarter of Game 6. The Clippers gained early momentum with their lead, and it was up to Denver to close the deficit. During the process, Murray was met by George, who blocked his layup at the rim.

Moreover, the play didn’t end there. As the Clips got possession of the ball due to George’s timely block, it was him who finished off the move on the offensive end for his team! PG got the block for his team and rushed to the basket to contribute in the transition.
As he received the ball behind the arc, George took a quick look and drained an elegant three-pointer to build the Clippers’ lead. It looked almost effortless from PG as he joined the attack, drilled the three, and just started jogging back towards defense!

George’s block on Murray caused the pair to collide firmly on the floor. Murray stayed down for a few moments before he got up and left the court without any assistance. After taking the hard fall, it seemed like Jamal Murray would have to sit out the game.

However, Murray returned to action just a few minutes after clashing with Paul George. The 23-year-old looked to have taken a knock, but recovered from it quite soon to get back to helping his side reduce the deficit.
Denver has been playing this series will all their heart, hoping to upset the tournament favorites. It certainly is a daunting task, but an achievable one. Murray and Jokic are the key factors in the Nuggets team and their contributions always make or break their games. Can the Clippers hold on against their determined opponents to advance to the WCF?
